Finding Home was written by the devised theatre class taught by Dr. Katie Wampler and student directed by our senior Allie Salsbury. The theme for our theatre season was finding home, so we wanted to write a play about what home meant to each of us. We wrote scenes, songs, poems and movements that expressed that and the end result was this play. As said by one of our actors, “we wrote our childhood traumas into a play with glitter and dragons.” I had a lot of fun reconnecting with my childhood within the character of Felicity, acting out the strictness of adulthood with Diann and embracing the love of an older sister with Delilah.
