The Importance of Being Earnest was directed by Dr. Steven Wood, and in this production, we experimented with the time period of the story as well as the modern day. The first act was in time period, and the remaining acts were in modern dress. Yes, polo clubs, old money, Karens and all. I enjoyed seeing the humour of Oscar Wilde remaining relevant in modern culture. I had the privilege to stage manage for this show and I thoroughly enjoyed putting all my organisation and notetaking skills to use. I learned a lot about the responsibilities of the stage manager during this production.
