Seven was my first production at Indiana Wesleyan University as a freshman and performing as Farida Azizi was a wonderful experience. I was able to build strong connections with the rest of the actors, and we discussed hard things as we acted out the experiences of these real women. I remember clearly, we ended every rehearsal and performance holding hands and affirming, “We were acting. The work was good.” Then releasing the heaviness of the play, that unfortunately remains very real in society today.
